Hannah Malkey, MA, is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate under the supervision of Melissa Lawver, LPC-S. She received her master’s degree in professional counseling at Dallas Baptist University and previously earned her B.A. in Music Business there in 2018.
Honoring each individual’s unique story and lived experiences, Hannah works primarily with adults and college-aged individuals. Her areas of focus include working with clients navigating the effects of childhood abuse, sexual trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, dissociation, grief, low self-esteem, and family of origin issues.
Hannah integrates both cognitive and somatic techniques in her work, aiming to create space for intellectual, emotional, and bodily awareness. Using these, she helps clients explore the connection between thoughts, feelings, and embodied experience, fostering holistic change and healing.
Hannah also uses a client centered approach. This foundation emphasizes each client’s natural ability to grow and heal, and Hannah works collaboratively with client’s to provide a supportive and compassionate therapeutic relationship where client’s feel safe to engage in their healing journey.
Outside the counseling room, Hannah enjoys quality time with friends, drinking too much coffee, going for walks, reading, writing, and relaxing with her cat.
