Michael Saeger is a practicum student at His Story, currently finishing his degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. He is training under the supervision of Dr. Lindsay Akers, LPC-S, RPT, Certified CCPT-S. Michael is a graduate of Clemson University, where he was actively involved in the campus ministry Cru. During his time there, he discovered a deep passion for sharing the hope of Jesus and walking alongside others through life’s challenges.
Before entering the counseling field, Michael spent several years working in the coffee industry. His experiences there, combined with his heart for people, led him to pursue formal training in counseling to help others move toward emotional and mental wholeness.
In his counseling work, Michael values empathy and acceptance as powerful tools for healing and growth. He believes everyone deserves a safe space to process doubts, fears, and imperfections without judgment—because we are all works in progress. Michael enjoys working with children, teens, and adults, and thoughtfully tailors his approach to meet each client’s unique needs.
Michael and his wife, Kristina, were married in 2023 and recently welcomed their first child. Outside of counseling, he enjoys hiking, biking, running, traveling, cooking, baking, serving in his church, and spending quality time with family and friends.
